Actions Don’t Speak Louder Than Words Do

If you know me, you probably know that I’ve always believed everyone should be appreciated in terms of what they do. I’ve always said to myself, “Action is what defines you. Do well, be good”. I don’t know how but at this hour of day I’ve come to conclusion that actions aren’t more important than words are. Had actions been more important than words, I wouldn’t have been writing this. We wouldn’t have been texting or speaking.  There would have been no novels, no scribbled stories, and no letters.

Anyway, when I say words are valuable, I don’t mean to encourage blabbering constantly. I recently went through book “Who Will Cry When You Die?” by Robin Sharma in which he has mentioned about art of speaking only when it’s necessary. His words made sense when I remembered my team mates killing time by talking instead of not working on actual task at a workshop I attended few months back.  Since I normally choose to not speak these days because I rarely get to hang out with people of my age (Believe me, this sucks. Ain’t getting enough dopamine), I’ve finally come to understand the beauty of speaking less. Actually, I’ve had days in my life in which I spoke so much that it hurt my mouth (Seriously, it did. I put a lot of energy in speaking. Also, biggest fan of nonverbal communication).  Now as I don’t blabber much, I’ve been able to put that energy in doing more productive stuffs like coming up with idea of writing on this topic.
